Test Script Editor.
Test Script Editor.
Hi.. When running a test in Script Library Editor, would it be possible to see an overall total minutes of all the tracks selected under the duration column.
Currently I have to manually add each line to calculate how long the total script will last.
Thanks
Cary

Re: Test Script Editor.
Why resp. what is that needed for?
a) each time you run the script other tracks might be selected, so the total number would change
b) when executing a script eg. as a program it will be looped, ie. a script has no total duration
c) the test script will end when it is looped to not run endlessly

Re: Test Script Editor.
I'm trying to assist my remote VT presenters.
I understand each track length is different, but having an idea of the length of a show helps them with the placement of their end show voice track.
Also incorporating AI (As I am) requires as much accuracy as possible.
If it's not possible, I will continue to manually calculate.

Re: Test Script Editor.
If I calculate the total duration of the script test function this wouldn’t impact any precision, nor would it guide with the script length. As said, even during VT, the script might be looped, so that always enough tracks are scheduled to fill your Program.
Also do I assume, that VT presenters do use the playlist to place their last voice over, as the test script function would guide them here?
Also wh would that Test function help with any AI stuff.
I still do not understand your use case.
The opposite might be the case. A value might suggest, that this is the total duration of the script generating tracks.
However, when the script is effectively executed, a totally different total duration might result.
I could even write a fixed value, which wouldn’t be better or worse.
Assume your average track length is 4 minutes.
Then you should have at least 15 script-lines to fill approx. an hour. (15x4=60).
Do you really need a function in the test script dialog?
