v3.0.11.31 - stable

Post by radio42 »

Version 3.0.11.31 is out!

What's New?
  • VST hosting reworked
  • WASAPI event driven mode added
  • Streaming: optional Admin username/password added
  • UAC restore size bug-fix
  • Hook-Mode bug-fix
  • Advert Pattern Wizard bug-fix
  • Various other optimizations
  • Other smaller bug-fixes
  • stable

VST hosting reworked
The VST hosting stub has been reworked to also support older VST 2.x plugins and to also support full settings save and restore for all presets/programs.

WASAPI event driven mode added
By default WASAPI pushes data to device, ie. it's not event-driven, as the event-driven system isn't always supported/working with all drivers.
A new option (Event driven) has been added to the mixer configuration. Enable this option to turn on the event driven system, in which case the WASAPI driver requests for data whenever needed. Some devices/soundcards work better in this mode - so you can only try which mode works better in your case.
Note: WASPAI Loopback-Devices (Input) never use the event driven system.

Streaming: optional Admin username/password added
The streaming server configuration now contains extra admin username/password fields.
These might be set in case you use the server entry in offline mode (not connected and streaming) to e.g. gather listener stats and/or updating the song title information.
SHOUTcast/ICEcast servers require the admin credentials to be used for these kind of operations.
So in order to keep these seperated from the standard source streaming username/password - these are now seperated.
If you don't need any offline actions, you might leave these fields empty.
Admin-Username: If empty the Source-Username is used (and if that is empty too, "admin" is used).
Admin-Password: If empty, the Source-Password is used.

And again ;)
in offlinemode, it not want to open a connection to the streamserver: 87.118.78.51:7030
Image
With or without username, it does NOT try to connect to the server. Any other server is working.
windowsfirewall is off, only use a hardwarefirewall, also no antivirussoftware is working or defender.
I only can send the music on the other port to the transcoder...

I see what the issue was - a new v3.0.11.30 is available fixing the issue.
It was related to updating the internal editors (which hasn't been created for that plugin yet, as it contains over 450 parameters) - so a simply check was missing internally.

Which VST dll are you trying to use?
And when does this error happen exactly - when clicking on the 'Editor' button?
And what machine and OS are you using?

And again...I already asked you to send me the full configuration of that server - which I neve received.
Note, that any streaming server must be fully configured (even if not started) it must contain all neccessary information.
Your above screen-shot only shows a few details...
So please make sure ALL the other config data is also setup correctly.

Hi Bernd,

I just had this same error ( i think) on the on-line system after installing .30 and rebooting the pc.
It has generated a report that has been mailed to you automaticly (?)

Th VST I am using is the "Stereo Expander" from steinberg.
2nd time PF started without any errors, however the setting was reset to zero on the plugin.

Os:win7/64, Duo Core 3ghz, 4gb ram, m-audio44 audio, ATI5570 video.
