Playing syndicated radio show

Post by kimmelim75 »

Hello

Is PFOA capable to play 30 min long audio files, containing maybe 6 or seven song. At the same time read a cue file or meta data containing info about who's playing?

I know that Mairlist uses a cue file to read the timestamps and the present them in time as the playout runs.

Yes.
ProppFrexx supports ProppFrexx Cue-Sheet files (.pfc). There are ProppFrexx playlist files along with the audio file. The ProppFrexx Cue-Sheet file has the extension .pfc and is basically a ProppFrexx playlist file and as such contains all metadata.

Example:
Audio: C:\Test\File.mp3
Cue-Sheet: C:\Test\File.mp3.pfc

When you load a single track the existence of a .pfc file is validated and if it is existing, the metadata update syncs are automatically added to the track.
ProppFrexx Cue-Sheet files can directly be created by ProppFrexx. E.g. the sender might also use ProppFrexx to create their show to be syndicated. Else, the syndication station might create a ProppFrexx Cue-Sheet files manually. Specs can be found here: https://www.proppfrexx.radio42.com/down ... Format.pdf
