Used memory vs audio handles
Used memory vs audio handles
Just a question; is it normal that when memory increase the audio-handles increase too?
Maybe strange question: what are those many audio-handles doing?

Re: Used memory vs audio handles
Number of standard carts used in our daily Muziekmix (auto-deejay) is 30 (random choice).
The view of cartwall I and II is empty now. Only when doing a dj show the person can pick his own carts: zie picture with cartwall 1 and 2
I also did a little test: 1st picture you see some open playlists. 2nd picture I closed them; only at that moment memory and audiohandles decrease.
So there will be a moment every week; the memory and audiohandles are too high, which ends the application.

Re: Used memory vs audio handles
How many playlists do you have open in parallel?
But yes, each player (per playlist) will consume a few handles and these will only be released once the playlist is closed.
However over 600 handles are really to high. There must be some leak somewhere. I am just not sure where as I can currently not reproduce that here.
So when you restart PF the next time we should monitor when they increase...

Re: Used memory vs audio handles
There are several audio handles created per mixer channel and player.
Eg if you use a lot of carts in a cartwall I or II that would explain the big number.
But if you just use a few carts (eg 10) that number is too high.
Is the number of handles constantly increasing over timeand if it's growing do you know when? After playing playlist items? Overlays?...
