ProppFrexx ONAIR User-Forum

Hello,

Our streamprovider adviced to change from Centovacast to Everestcast. But now Artist and title are not reconized by Everestcast. I am using the latest version of ProppFrexx. We did test with an older version (i believe 3.x) and that was working on the same stream. we even checkes the properties and they are the same. Does anyone has some experience with this, or knows what has changed?

ProppFrexx uses the standard Shoutcast v1 or v2 protocol or the ICEcast protocol when streaming. As I guess the issue is more on the other side than on the ProppFrexx side!
Or the issue is an incorrect configuration.
Please context the vendor for help.

But why is this working with an older version of PF. we tested this with the same Everestcast.

Please define what an old version means?....and chach exactly what you have configured...many new options have been added...
Note that you maybe (as said) now configured a SHOUTcast v2 protocol accidentally or specified not all parameters...

Click on the '?' icon at the very top right to get detailed help and really check all your configuration options, I am sure it will still run as expected, as it for many many other users as well...

With older version i mean proppfrexx 3.0.11.41 i have 4.2.1,

There are a few options which only makes sense with SHOUTcast v2, e.g. the Next SongTitle option.
But SHOUTcast v1 is also still fully supported with ProppFrexx.
The Update Statistics option would require the admin credentials...

I assume your connection and the streaming still is fully working fine?! But just the song title update has an issue?
So maybe you have an error in your Song Title Update Format string?!
