after update I am getting the enclosed error. Any idea what could be wrong?

From what version To what version are you updating?
It seems, that some files got somehow corrupted.
Ie. you might want to delete the installation folder resp. delete the program and make a complete new reinstall.
The configuration will not be touched/changed when you simply remove and reinstall the application.
Check your hardsisk, to prevent any further disk errors or corrupted files.
