Previous UseHookCuePoints as regular track
Previous UseHookCuePoints as regular track
Hello Bernd,
I don't know if this is a bug, but i've got a problem or question.
In the Script Library editor
I ad a song
I set Count 2
I set the Options
AsEmbeddedHookContainer
UseHookCuePoints
I set the Filter
[HasHook} = True
Then I ad two more lines
HookQueue _> Previous UseHookCuePoints as regular track
HookQueue _> Previous UseHookCuePoints as regular track
This works fine.
But
In general settings -> Mixing / Fading -> Hook Mixing Settings
I'm using an opener and separator
This ads 2 entries to the container. De container says "4 entries" And this is a problem.
In the script the first line "Previous UseHookCuePoints as regular track" now plays the opener and not the song.
Can you please explain this or fix this?
And another question:
The EmbeddedHookContainer won't play until the Next Cue. Instead it starts the next line after 2 seconds or so. Where can i change this?
Thanks in advance.
Greetings,
Frans

Re: Previous UseHookCuePoints as regular track
Regarding the Opener and Closer: this sounds like a big. I need to test this - pls give me some time to investigate.
Regarding the NextCuePoint: which Next cue-point do you refer to? The one set for the first hook track or the closer?

Re: Previous UseHookCuePoints as regular track
Yes, it was a bug. A new v4.3.1.1-Beta is available which fixes the issue.
User "Check for Beta-Version..." to update.
But I cannot reproduce your issue with the next cue-point. Note, that also for those mixing tracks (opener, closer, separator) the hook cue-points are used. E.g. to check the generated container, select it and click ALT+3 and switch to the container tab. Nor you see a list of all container entries. A double-click opens the PFL editor for each element and you can double-check the used cue-points...

Re: Previous UseHookCuePoints as regular track
Hello Bernd,
The new Beta works fine. Thank you.
It took some time, but now I know the mixing problem isn't a mixing problem.
The "problem" is the button PFL Mixing. I use this button to test the mixing.
My guess:
The embedded container is much larger than the length of the sound.
The sound is, lets say, 10 seconds, but the container is 30 seconds. Look at the screenshot of the Seque Editor, there's a lot of empty space. Maybe that's the problem?
At default the button PFL Mixing it's set at 3 seconds. When I change this to 20 or 30 sec it works fine. But I think that's not a real solution.

Re: Previous UseHookCuePoints as regular track
You are correct, there was indeed another bug regarding the PFL Preview and Segue Editor Wave calculation for embedded containers.
It should be fixed with the new v4.3.1.2, which has just been released.
