hello i try to do some voice tracking, i assumed the default place it stores those is in the recording path under encoding/recording in the config. the folder i used to store the voicetracks no longer exists so i changed the default record path. however whe i try to record a voice track, the output points to the old path which no longer exists and i have to change it everytime with the three dots button. how do i fix this please?

For Voice Tracking you can set the recording (output folder) directly in the Voice Tracking dialog. ProppFrexx remembers the last used VT output folder also for the next time. You can even define/change/lookup that Voice Tracking Path in the User Setting (underneath the User icon at the very top right, choose the 'Change User Settings...' entry and then select the More tab...).

Almost the same applies for Remote Voice Tracking. But here the selected 'Base Folder' (as defined in the Remote Voice Tracking dialog) is used as the Recording Output Folder.

well it didn't do the remembering thing as i had to change it every time but i did find it under user settings? it would be nice if there was a macro supstitution under the path so youyould choose the same folder as the scheduled script automaatically.

Well, for Remote Voice Tracking, the recorded tracks needs to be uploaded to the server anyhow, so it is not important where exactly it is stored.
Why do you need that data always in a special folder?

it would be easier to find them. when creating a new scheduled show it stores the pfp file in a folder created for that scheduled show. it would be nice to store the voice tracks for that show in the same folder. it makes it esier to sort the voice tracks

But as said, for RVT the use case and scenario is quite different. All local tracks (from the slave, recording PC) should be removed/deleted once uploaded to the server.

Ahh.I see.
I will take a look, if some macro or automation might be used. I then assume, that you use the template wizard and would like to store your VT audio files in the same folder as the resulting .pfp is stored?

that was the plan but currently they only store them in the globally ssigned location.

There must be something more general be wrong in your setup or system.
As I actually just tried all your scenarios, and ProppFrexx behaves already exactly as you which!

a) when you do a spontaneous VoiceTracking, the last used Folder is restored!
(if never used or set, the default VT folder is used from the user settings)

Initial VT.jpg

b) once you change the Folder in the VT dialog, it will be saved (when you click OK in the VT dialog), so that the next time you open the VT dialog it will be restored!
E.g. take a look to the user settings and you will see, that the Voice Tracking Path is changed accordingly.

c) And when you start the 'Playlist Template Wizard...', a specific Base Folder is defined.
Any subsequent VT within that resulting playlist created by the Playlist Template Wizard, will use that Effective Folder for VT!

So to me this looks exactly like you want it.
If that is not working in your case, there must somewhere be an internal (hidden) exception be thrown. E.g. you are using some folder or paths to which you have no access?! E.g. send me your complete Error.log file (you can use the 'Show Log Files...' in the Tools ribbon tab to locate it)
