In the new v4.3.4.3-update, the MODStreamPlayer is now cancelled even tighter - at least up to 'Start Delay Time' before the effective Start Time.

Thank you!

In the mean time I have been battle testing our software and the MODStream player. I seem to have found a bug with the Suppression.

We have a news/TOTH overlay at every hour, that shows up 120 seconds in advance. For some reason this overlay still shows up and plays. I have tested this a few times and it is always the case.

I am sending you our schedulers in PM so you are able to reproduce this more easily.

Please retest with the new v4.3.4.3 - as otherwise we might run in cycles.

I updated and tried again. The news/toth overlay just now still showed up and played.

The weird thing is that the MODStream remains in "Playing" when the overlay starts.

Manually created overlays are also not suppressed.

When do you start the MODsteam Watcher and what are you exact MODSteam settings?

I started the MODStream using a control-command:

Code: Select all

MODSTREAM_WATCHER_START <url>||True|True||True
I started when an overlay was visible (which was successfully suppressed) and also when no overlay was present. Both times the TOTH overlay (eg at 11:00) showed up and played.

I now have your schedulers... but in here you don't call the MODStream command...so when exactly are you starting the MODStream command (e.g. at xx:57:00?? or at xx:59:00??) - I have tested various scenarios and here it works.

And have you set the option: "Combine parallel Overlays" in the general settings, section Script/Scheduler?
If no, do so.

And in your post you mentioned, that you also manually create overlays via control-commands? Can you explain this in detail? When exactly, what commands, etc. - maybe here is also an issue?!

Combine parallel Overlays" was already enabled.

I started the MODStream at around 10:07 to test. The overlays of 10:15, 10:30 and 10:45 where suppressed, but the overlay of 11:00 was not suppressed and played.

The manual overlays with control-commands is just something I did to test in which cases the Overlay is not suppressed. We don't actually use this in a live environment, it was just as a test.
