Advanced artist separation
Advanced artist separation
Hi All,
My quiestion is how can I add different artist, bands into a "group" so when the script is running it would consider as the same artist and won't play it in the dedicated timeframe.
For example:
- Annie Lennox and Eurythmics
- Geri Halliwell and Spice Girls
- Beyonce and Destiny's Child
I can see there is a grouping them?
I can see a similar name / option in the Tag Editor but I can't find any details about this function.
Thanks for the answer!

Re: Advanced artist separation
ProppFrexx has two history checks:
a) the relaxed check
b) a X-Artist Check
While a) separates the different values within one field (eg. “Santana feat. Sting” into “Santana” and “Sting”);
b) would allow you to add additional related Artists you would like to add to the list of Artists you would like to concise ‘the same’.
In your case, I assume the X-Artist check would be best working. Ie. In the Artist field you specify the ‘real’ Artist and in any of the other available fields, eg. the AlbumArtist field you specify all other related Artists which you would like to consider ‘the same’.
Eg.
Artist=Annie Lennox
AlbumArtist=Annie Lennox; Eurythmics
Here is an older post, which explains X-Artist and the relaxed checks: viewtopic.php?t=73

Re: Advanced artist separation
Thanks for the tip. I started divided with ; and cross check with album artist.
I got the same issue, The same artist followed each other, only couple of minutes apart.
Can you help me to understand the issue?
All of my files use MetaTag.
many thanks.

Re: Advanced artist separation
Remove the strict check from the history! As the at does a 100% equal check. Only the relaxed check does the relaxed separation.
