Voice Tracking: strange issues
Voice Tracking: strange issues
Hi
I started working with voice tracks last week.
When I pre listened the playlists I made, all seems fine. When the playlist was scheduled, 2 strange things happened:
- another song started playing together with the correct song. Starting at that point other songs didn’t follow the VTs in exact order
- some loaded songs became a strange total playtime f.ex. 6 seconds instead of 4 minutes, so other tracks started together and much to early
+ a question: what happens with the tags in the database when you save a VT (the next track is often a VT which starts often earlier than when you want to use this track in a nonstop program?
I think I do something wrong? Is it a problem when you do a save as of a playlist with VT’s?
Thanks so much

Re: Voice Tracking: strange issues
Can you please post your playlist as well as the related tracks in question. As with the explanation I can not really follow what might happen.
But could it be, that your cue-points are somehow not correct? Eg. the Next cue-point is incorrectly set?
Please check these…

Re: Voice Tracking: strange issues
Can I send you a WeTransfer by mail?
Re: Voice Tracking: strange issues
THX for sending the data.
What you told me via eMail is:
1. File="03 Troglodyte.m4a"
Duration: 199,899 sec.
Next Cue-Point at: 187.418 sec.
-> I.e. the next song plays ~12 sec. before this track ends.
2. File="VREC_20231110_144240.wav"
Duration: 34,320 sec.
Cue-In at: 7.640 sec.
Next Cue-Point at: 7.68 sec.
-> I.e. when this track is started, almost imediately the next track (3.) is also started!
3. File="11 This Love Taylor S Version .m4a"
Duration: 250,100 sec.
...
-> This track starts, when the VT Track (2.) track is started
-> and as such, for about 12 sec, Track 1., 2. and 3. do all play in parallel.
Here is the Segue visualized in the ProppFrexx Segue Editor: Sometimes this is exactly what you want (as your 2. track is a VoiceTrack).
As the Tailor Swift track (3.) has a very quite and long Intro, this doesn't even sound bad. I personally would maybe just attenuate Track 1. and 3. around the VT Track (2.) - but for the rest all is fine here.
Here is a zip containing how the original sounded here: How does it look and sound or play on your side?
If there are other issue, please send me all the audio tracks and playlist as well...
